The Shades of Color Black History edition, the long-running title from the publisher whose African American calendars have anchored Black households since 1992, takes twelve pages of African American history reference in Black History 2027 Wall Calendar. Each month pairs original figurative artwork with biographical reference on the historical figures who shaped Black American life - the abolitionists and freedom fighters (Frederick Douglass, Harriet Tubman, Sojourner Truth), the Harlem Renaissance writers and artists (Langston Hughes, Zora Neale Hurston, Aaron Douglas), the civil rights leaders (Martin Luther King Jr., Ella Baker, John Lewis, Fannie Lou Hamer), the scientists and educators (Mary McLeod Bethune, Charles Drew, Mae Jemison), and the political and cultural pathbreakers across generations. The artwork comes from the brand's roster of African American artists. This title comes from Shades of Color. At a glance - Large 12 x 12 inch format opens to 12 x 24 inches for easy wall display; Covers January to December 2027 with a bonus planning page featuring four mini monthly grids; Spacious daily grids with room to write appointments, birthdays, and events; Monthly biographical reference and original African American art; Easy-hang design fits any home, office, or workspace; stapled binding for easy page turning. For Black history teachers, classroom walls, family bookshelves, and households that mark the historical dates on the wall through more than just February, the Shades of Color Black History edition is the long-running anchor.
